Sample Submissions

External Users

New customers: please to contact the facility manager, Greg Wylie (gpwylie@tamu.edu), with the full legal customer/company name, and a contact's name and email. Those for whom their billing information has changed also need to contact the facility manager with those details.

Sample Submittal Information and Form

1. All shipped samples must conform with the instructions found in our Chemistry Business Operations. No sample is to be shipped without first completing the Customer Information Form, and the NMR staff must be told to expect them in advance.
2. All liquid-state samples must be in 5 mm NMR tubes that are 500 MHz rated and at least 7 inches in length (Wilmad 528-PP-7 or equivalent). These samples must also be dissolved in deuterated solvent. The total volume for each sample should be 600 μL or more; and, generally, of concentration approximately 50 mM.
3. All solid-state samples must be cleared with the staff. In general, you will not be required to buy a rotor, but should this be deemed necessary only Bruker rotors with a serial number are acceptable.
4. All samples should be accompanied by a sample information form. The form for external users may be found here, and the form for internal users may be found here.
5. In-person submittals are welcome, but please make arrangements with the staff, and include a sample submission form. We will neither move nor cancel reservations, so we need to know well in advance of your arrival. Please be aware that the NMR facility has NO WET LAB SPACE WHATSOEVER, so your samples need be be fully prepared before your arrival.
